What
could you expect on the first day at Country Care?
From an Administrator at CCCH
Well, first of all, you're going to be greeted with lots of smiles.
We usually meet you at the door and help you and your family to take
care of some admission work. You would be given a tour of the facility.
You would also be shown your room and all the things that you'll need
by your bed side.
You would be visited by a variety of staff personnel:
Our Dietary Staff person would come down and
talk to you about your likes and dislikes and what your meal preferences
are.
Our Social Services also would come down to
talk to you about any type of needs that you have: emotional needs or
certain belongings that you have.
Our Activities Department would come down.
Sheila (our Activity Director) is just a wonderful person. She comes
down and meets with you and talks with you about past hobbies and what
you like to do, and she would arrange a group of activities based on
what you like to do and offer those to you.
Our Director of Nurses would come down to
meet you and talk about your nursing care.
Our Assistant Director of Nurses and our staff, would
come in to meet you.
There would be a lot of names and a lot of people on staff that you
would meet. We would also remind you of who we were as the days go on.
So that's pretty much it: Greeting everybody, and hearing from you and
about your family!
