The Atascadero Christian Home, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation (CAL. LIC. # 401700013). In our facility located on the Central Coast of California, we provide two levels of care for the elderly: Independent and Assisted Living.

Independent Living
Our care begins for many people right after they retire, when they move into one of our quaint independent living cottages. Here they can retire in our serene environment, and enjoy whatever activities they choose. At this point, our residents usually cook for themselves in their Cottage and keep it clean. They can choose to eat in our central dining room, if they so desire. We currently have 3 long-term lease cottages available.

Assisted Living
As a person ages their needs often grow. Our next level of care is what we call assisted living. The people here require help taking their medications, being driven to the doctors, and help in the shower. They also don't cook anymore and instead eat in our centralized dining room where three scrumptious meals are served. They live in a large bedroom with a bathroom.

What is So Special About Our Facility?
The Atascadero Christian Home, Inc. has been serving seniors in this area since 1957. We are the only non-profit, Christian facility of its kind in San Luis Obispo County. Many of our employees have been with the organization for a long time. One fourth of our staff has been with us for more than five years.

Daily Life at ACH
The Home and Hospital are located in the heart of California, in the central coast region, about halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It is situated among rolling hillsides, dotted with native oak and pine trees. The Pacific Ocean is just a few miles away, and the region enjoys a moderate climate with no smog.

Bible studies and daily devotions are a part of the daily life here. It is a constant reminder to us that Christ is the ultimate head of this home. Transportation to town for medical and dental appointments is provided. Christian services are held each Sunday at both locations.
